What you can expect in your role

As a Transaction Advisory Services Director, you will spend your day-to-day working on clients’ unique advisory requirements. You will drive strategic client decisions and help achieve their strategic priorities. The Transaction Advisory Services Director is responsible for transactional advisory, financial accounting, quality of earnings, operational due diligence, and valuation engagements.

  • Assist with different types of valuation engagements including business valuations that cover business planning, tax, financial reporting, and litigation-related purposes
  • Provide clients with modeling solutions, data analytics, and analysis to address complex business problems
  • Maintain and develop positive, productive, and professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Lead diligence meetings, draft and review tailored due diligence reports specific to key issues such as normalized earnings, achievability of management’s budget, debt considerations, and working capital analysis
  • Review transaction documents, providing insights to the client for their negotiations
  • Actively engage in assessing a target’s quality of earnings
  • Quality of Earnings, P&L, cash flow, forecast, and Working Capital analyses
  • Financial Statement Review and Reconciliations
  • Assists private equity and corporate clients by providing cohesive diligence across financial, tax, data analytics, cybersecurity, and technical accounting
  • Execute buy-side and sell-side transaction advisory engagements
  • Proven ability to manage, mentor, and develop staff
  • Business development including cross-selling other services
  • Engagement management

Skills we would need you to bring to the role

Capable of wearing many hats, i.e. technical, transactional, project management, valuation, etc. Not all but these are examples:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, specifically business writing
  • Ability to interact with and adapt communication style to successfully convey messaging and objectives to
    all levels of management
  • Exhibits executive presence, intellectual curiosity, and analytical thinking
  • Capable of initiating and maintaining solid relationships with all levels of client personnel, as well as utilizing network and industry relationships to identify business development opportunities
  • Capable of working in a demanding, deadline-driven environment independently and within a team dynamic while effectively managing unexpected issues and/or questions in a professional manner
  • Ability to analyze large volumes of data to identify potential issues and propose the most appropriate resolutions within the context of a transaction
  • Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of information
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to produce quality work with attention to detail

Education and experience we would need you to bring to the role

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, finance, or other relevant field, required
  • Master’s in Business Administration
  • CPA preferred or CPA candidate, CFA, CA
  • Seven (7) or more years of public accounting experience is required, preferably within a financial assurance and/or mergers and acquisitions role
  • Three (3) or more years of Transaction Advisory Services experience desired
