Scott Irvine

Scott L. Irvine, CPA, is the managing partner and a co-founder of abip, P.C., bringing more than 30 years of public accounting and industry experience. He played a key role in establishing the firm in 2005 and soon after assumed the role of managing partner. Scott’s professional background spans auditing and business advisory, focusing on privately held middle market companies across a wide range of industries including manufacturing, construction, oil and gas, real estate, healthcare, technology, hospitality, and various service sectors. Scott has served clients in multiple advisory capacities, including fractional CFO and Controller roles, and has extensive experience in succession planning, M&A advisory, profitability enhancement, cash flow analysis, accounting process optimization, software implementations, capital markets, tax planning and strategy implementation, general business advisory and development of best practices.
Professional Background
In 1999, Scott briefly stepped out of public accounting to assist a technology-sector client through a private equity transaction. During that time, Scott oversaw operational functions and supported the acquisition and integration of several complementary businesses.
Education and Associations
Scott graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. He holds CPA licenses in Texas and California and is a member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA), and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). He served as Chair of the Audit/Finance Committee on The Texas State University Development Foundation Board, as well as on several client boards and advisory committees.
