Melissa Bushman

Melissa Bushman is Chief Operating Officer at abip, bringing over 20 years of operational leadership experience, primarily within professional services firms. She oversees finance, human resources, recruiting, IT, marketing, and firm operations, partnering closely with the firm’s teams and its clients through the systems and processes she helps build.

Professional Background

Throughout her career, Melissa has partnered with business owners and executive teams to improve operations, develop leaders, implement technology, and create sustainable systems that allow organizations to thrive. Before joining abip, she served as Director of Operations for Doeren Mayhew, where she led operational initiatives including acquisition integrations, tax process standardization, Global Capability Center development, and firmwide technology implementations. Prior to that, she served as Chief Operating Officer for a Houston-based CPA firm, helping guide the organization through growth and its eventual acquisition. She has built a reputation for bringing together people, processes, and technology to help organizations scale, all while maintaining a strong focus on culture, accountability, and client service.
