abip CPAs and Advisors is seeking a Client Accounting Services (CAS) Senior Associate to support our growing portfolio of designer and creative industry clients. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working directly with clients, and brings a strong foundation in bookkeeping, financial reporting, and process improvement.
The ideal candidate is a hard-working, quick learner with a client-first mindset, capable of managing multiple engagements while delivering high-quality, timely financial insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations for a portfolio of designer and creative clients
- Perform full-cycle bookkeeping, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and management reports
- Maintain and improve general ledger accuracy and integrity
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing proactive communication and support
- Assist clients with cash flow tracking, budgeting, and operational insights
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation
- Collaborate with internal teams to support tax and advisory functions
- Ensure compliance with firm standards and accounting best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3–5+ years of accounting experience, preferably within a public accounting environment (mid-sized or Big 4 firm highly preferred)
- Strong bookkeeping and general ledger experience required
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks (Online and/or Desktop)
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis)
- Experience working with multiple clients or entities simultaneously
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a high level of client service orientation
- Ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment
Preferred Experience
- Experience supporting creative, design, or project-based businesses
- Exposure to cloud-based accounting tools and integrations
- Familiarity with financial dashboards and reporting tools
