abip continues its growth as we mark our 20th Anniversary in 2025! We have an opportunity for the right candidate who has some public experience and is eager to work with a growing TAS practice and gain exposure to a variety of industries and transactions.
The Senior in Transaction Advisory Services will play a critical role in supporting buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence engagements, quality of earnings (QoE) analysis, business valuations, exit planning, and other M&A advisory services. The ideal candidate will have experience in public accounting, financial analysis, and transaction advisory, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform financial due diligence for mergers and acquisitions, including detailed analysis of financial statements, operational data, business valuations and quality of earnings engagements.
- Support business valuation engagements, including gathering data, analyzing cash flows, and applying appropriate valuation methodologies.
- Assist in the preparation of Business Valuation and Quality of Earnings reports, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Conduct detailed industry and company-specific research to support transaction analysis.
- Collaborate with Managers, Directors, and Partners on exit planning, deal structuring, and related M&A advisory services.
- Analyze historical financial data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Assist in the preparation of client presentations and deliverables, ensuring high-quality and timely results.
- Actively participate in client meetings and communicate findings in a clear, professional manner.
- Train and mentor junior staff by providing guidance and review of their work.
- Stay current with industry trends, accounting standards, and transaction-related best practices.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- CPA, ABV, CVA, or another relevant credential preferred (or actively pursuing).
- 2-4 years of experience in public accounting (Audit, Advisory, or Transaction Services).
- Experience with financial due diligence, M&A advisory, or valuation engagements preferred.
Skills/Abilities
- Strong understanding of financial statements, GAAP accounting, and cash flow analysis.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other financial analysis tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and internal teams.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
